How to Use AccelCalc
Welcome to AccelCalc, your simple yet powerful 0–60 mph (0–100 km/h) time calculator. Follow the steps below to get your vehicle’s estimated acceleration time:
- Engine Power (HP): Enter your vehicle’s horsepower. This is the engine output in horsepower (hp).
- Curb Weight (lb): Input the curb weight of your vehicle, which is the weight of the car without passengers or cargo.
- Payload (lb): Add any extra weight you expect to carry (passengers, luggage). This will be added to the curb weight.
- Vehicle Type: Choose from Sedan, SUV, Truck or Sports Car. Different vehicle types may affect the base time.
- Drive Type: Select FWD, RWD, or AWD. All-Wheel Drive usually gives better traction, resulting in slightly faster times.
- Engine Type: Choose between Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) or Electric Motor. Electric vehicles generally accelerate faster.
- Transmission: Pick your transmission type. Options include Direct Drive Electric, Dual-Clutch, Manual, or Automatic. Some transmissions shift faster, improving acceleration.
- Tires: Select Normal or Performance tires. Performance tires increase grip, reducing 0–60 times.
- Road Condition: Choose Dry or Wet. Wet conditions usually add extra time due to reduced traction.
After filling in all required fields, click the Calculate 0-60 Time button. The result will appear below, showing the estimated time in seconds.
Note: This tool provides an estimate based on simplified formulas. Actual results may vary depending on additional factors like driver skill, weather, and mechanical condition.
